The Service de la petite enfance (SDPE) is responsible for implementing the policy of the Ville de Genève in favor of early childhood, by managing municipal childcare structures and supporting those it subsidizes. As part of maternity leave replacements for the Marie Goegg-Pouchoulin early childhood sector which contains two crèches, a parent-child space and a kindergarten, totaling 171 childcare places, 2 Early Childhood Educators on fixed-term contracts for the early childhood childcare structure on different sites: SAPE Eglantyne Jebb, and SAPE Guy-Olivier Second, we are looking for

Early Childhood Educators

Mandatory criteria (maximum 5 mandatory elements)

ES Diploma as an Early Childhood Educator from ESEDE or a title deemed equivalent (SEFRI equivalence mandatory)

Mastery of French (written, spoken)

Have a good capacity for adaptation

Employees of the Ville de Genève must be domiciled in the authorized domiciliation zone and be holders of a valid permit or work authorization.

Profile of the person sought (training, experience, etc.)

You hold a diploma as an early childhood educator from ESEDE recognized or a title deemed equivalent by SEFRI. You wish to invest yourself within a dynamic and professional team. An enthusiastic, open and benevolent personality, your spirit of initiative and your capacity for adaptation are certain assets for this function essential to the development of the child. A good listener, with good stress management, you are furthermore comfortable with communication.

Mission (tasks and job content)

In order to complete its teams during maternity leave replacements and long-term leave, the SDPE is looking for:

• The Guy-Olivier Second early childhood childcare structure (1227 Acacias)
• The Eglantyne Jebb early childhood childcare structure (1205 Genève)

one or an Early Childhood Educator between 70% and/or 100%

As an early childhood educator in an early childhood childcare structure with extended services, you organize the reception and support of children (from 0 to 4 years old) while ensuring a quality service in accordance with current standards. Responsible for contributing to and ensuring the implementation of the childcare structure's pedagogical project, you develop and implement educational actions in connection with the pedagogical and institutional project. You support, supervise the activity of trainees, learners, ASE and helpers and also create a group dynamic favorable to the awakening, development and socialization of children. You ensure the formalization and transmission of information to families and collaborate in the preparation and animation of information and exchange meetings with the representatives of the children. Finally, you participate in reflection groups.
