Operational Excellence Engineer

The work location for this position is in Visp, Switzerland. Eligible applicants and their families are provided with relocation support if required. In this position at the Visp location, you are part of the Operational Excellence group and represent the Engineering specialist function. With your technical experience, you support the production areas in the implementation of optimization and improvement measures and lead projects independently. In doing so, you work closely with Engineering, Production, and other specialist functions and contribute to the implementation of the Operational Excellence strategy in the area of Engineering. Your tasks: You act as the central contact person for Engineering topics within the Operational Excellence group. You ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards and support risk analyses, TrackWise events, TCRs, as well as other compliance topics within the framework of optimization projects. You lead optimization and improvement projects independently and take responsibility for budget, costs, deadlines, and results. You implement PFQCRS measures, lead corresponding initiatives, or support their successful implementation in cooperation with the specialist departments. You moderate and lead steering meetings (e.g., Kaizen meetings) and ensure the sustainable implementation of agreed measures. You support plant engineering in the planning, coordination, and execution of equipment optimizations and investment projects. You actively contribute your experience to cross-functional improvement initiatives and support the further development of Operational Excellence methods in operations. What we are looking for: Completed engineering studies (FH or university), preferably in the field of mechanical engineering or a comparable technical discipline. More than ten years of relevant professional experience in the field of engineering or technical project management in an industrial environment, partially in pharmaceutical production (Small Molecules) is an advantage. Sound experience in a GMP-regulated environment. Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form. Further training in the field of business administration (e.g., MBA) is an advantage. High initiative, pronounced problem-solving competence, and enjoyment of working with various specialist departments.
