Context
--------

The Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and is among the best hospital establishments in the world according to the Newsweek 2025 ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculté de biologie et de médecine of the Université de Lausanne and the EPFL, it plays a leading role in the fields of care, research and training.

Within the Service propreté et hygiène, you contribute directly to the quality of the hospital environment: cleanliness and hygiene of surfaces, disinfection of the environment close to patients, concierge services on external sites, maintenance of roads and green spaces, collection and disposal of waste, as well as management of subcontracted services. You evolve in a demanding operational framework where you develop sought-after versatility (indoor/outdoor, light maintenance, logistics and service).

Mission
-------

• You maintain the floors of common areas (halls, stairwells, laundries, sanitary facilities) and care for the surroundings (parking spaces, meadows, lawns, indoor plants)
• You treat special coatings, woodwork, walls and ceilings; you wash windows and elevator panels
• You perform small repairs (replacement of light bulbs or defective parts) and prevent/treat breakdowns by contacting specialists if necessary
• You ensure the proper functioning of technical installations and the security of access (ventilation of premises, disinfection of containers, clearing of passages)
• You manage stocks of material and cleaning products and apply environmental and waste sorting regulations
• You maintain green spaces (care of trees and flower beds, hedge trimming, cleaning of ponds) in compliance with safety and hygiene instructions.

Profile
------

• You have completed your compulsory schooling and master French (minimum B1)
• You have an attraction to manual work and work outdoors as well as indoors
• You are autonomous and resourceful, with a good sense of analysis to solve daily problems
• You value hygiene, order and cleanliness, and demonstrate a sense of organization
• You appreciate teamwork and contact with varied interlocutors.
