Lab Technician Technical Operations

Bachem is a world leader in the development and manufacture of peptides and oligonucleotides for the pharmaceutical industry. In order to strengthen our Technical Operations team in Vionnaz (Valais, Switzerland), we are looking for a motivated and passionate Lab Technician Technical Operation (all) at 100% interested in laboratory work and chemical process development.

Your missions

Within the Tech Ops department, you will actively participate in the development and optimization of synthesis processes and contribute to the transfer of processes to operations.

Your main missions are as follows:

• Perform the development and optimization of synthesis processes.
• Participate in the development of analytical methods
• Perform separations and purifications using chromatographic equipment.
• Write reports and ensure the follow-up of laboratory trials.
• Participate in the transfer of processes to operational teams.
• Provide technical support to the Pilot, Production and Quality Control teams when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing and storage instructions to guarantee product quality.
• Contribute to the maintenance of equipment and the proper functioning of the laboratory.
• Participate in the training of apprentices.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP requirements, as well as safety, health and environment rules.
• Manage orders for laboratory equipment and consumables and exchange with suppliers.

Your profile

• CFC as a chemistry laboratory technician or equivalent training.
• A few years of experience in a chemical or pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
• Good knowledge of GMP and/or GLP standards.
• Practical experience in chemical synthesis and chromatographic techniques.
• Good knowledge of standard IT tools.
• Knowledge of SAP and/or LIMS systems is an asset.
• Proficiency in French orally and in writing; English is an advantage.
• Team spirit, rigor, autonomy and quality orientation.
