Job Description ##

In your capacity as an archivist, you actively contribute to the preservation and transmission of the documentary heritage of the Site et Musée romains d'Avenches (SMRA). You ensure the management of archives throughout their life cycle, develop research tools, and ensure the provision of a quality service to users while supporting the implementation of the archiving policy.

Responsibilities ##

• Ensure the processing, packaging, and preservation of SMRA documentation.
• Ensure archival management, research instruments, and the life cycle of documents.
• Provide information/answers to user requests.
• Participate in the design and application of the archive management policy within the framework of the archiving law (LArch).
• Maintain and develop relationships with all internal and external partners.

Qualifications ##

• Master's degree in archaeology or history.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of archiving.
• Proficiency in common IT tools and new technologies related to the field.
• English and German, level B2.
• Interest in Roman Antiquity.
• Knowledge of the LArch and its implementing regulations, knowledge of the directives issued by the Archives cantonales vaudoises.
• Good knowledge of Latin, an asset.
• Customer orientation.
• Organization and time management.
• Writing skills.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize.
