HEAD OF THE YOUTH ANIMATION SECTOR at 60% at the Service famille, éducation, sport et jeunesse (FAM)

The Service famille, éducation, sport et jeunesse (FAM) accompanies the population in essential daily areas related to families, school, leisure, sport, and participation in local life.

Attached to this service, the Secteur animation-jeunesse develops local action with young people aged 6 to 25. It creates spaces for meeting, expression, and experimentation that promote living together, inclusion, and the active participation of young people. It notably offers Animambule, Open Sport, l’Accueil Jeunes, the Animai festival and @août, as well as neighborhood parties, occasional actions, and projects carried out with and for young people.

In your capacity as head of the Secteur animation-jeunesse, you manage the sector's activities and projects and ensure the adequacy of services with the needs of young people and municipal orientations. Directly reporting to the head of service, you lead the team, manage the allocated resources in accordance with the service's orientations, and report on the sector's activities, projects, and challenges. You are, among others, responsible for the following main tasks:

• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the activities and projects of the Secteur animation-jeunesse
• Design and develop socio-cultural and preventive actions adapted to the needs of young people, while supporting their own projects
• Lead the permanent and auxiliary team, notably by organizing work, participating in recruitment, and ensuring staff follow-up as well as evaluation
• Prepare, manage, and respect the sector budget, and ensure resource monitoring
• Manage projects arising from municipal policy and the legislature program, respecting quality, costs, and deadlines
• Develop collaborations with other services of the Ville, schools, associations, and partners of the youth network
• Promote the sector's services and represent the Ville, under mandate from the service, within professional or associative networks
• Contribute, in support of the head of service, to the preparation of reports, proposals, and communications intended for the authorities, and propose improvement measures
• Occasionally participate in the sector's field activities
• Supervise the use of premises and equipment, ensuring compliance with procedures and the legal framework

This position requires:

• Higher education HES in socio-cultural animation or social work, or training deemed equivalent
• Proven experience in leading a team, socio-cultural animation, and supporting young people
• Proven skills in project management and mastery of participatory processes
• Ability to mobilize a team, sense of responsibility, and strong organizational skills
• Listening skills, sense of mediation, and ability to adapt to diversity as well as the complexity of situations
• Autonomy, spirit of collaboration, analytical and writing skills, mastery of common IT tools, and knowledge of simple accounting
• Clean ordinary and special extracts from the criminal record

This function involves irregular working hours, either in the morning or afternoon, in the evening, on weekends, school holidays and/or public holidays.

Start date: 1st January 2027 or to be agreed.

Activity rate: 60%, likely to evolve to 70% depending on the needs and organization of the service.
