Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities & Qualifications ##

Your responsibilities:

• Participate in the improvement, commissioning, and maintenance of our production tools and machines.
• Ensure troubleshooting service for machines and plant installations.
• Perform technical maintenance, assembly, and quality control work on the installations and equipment of internal services.
• Manufacture mechanical parts and mechanical-welded parts.
• Identify problems and propose solutions, individually and in a team.
• Ensure the documentation of maintenance activities.
• Work with a 4-team rotation.

How to convince us:

• You have experience in industrial maintenance and/or in a similar industry.
• You hold a CFC as a polymechanic or as a constructor of industrial devices with good mechanical skills.
• You have good knowledge of SAP.
• You possess a great sense of team spirit, are autonomous, and solution-oriented.
• You master French, another language is an asset.
• You are comfortable within a complex environment and are able to adapt to changes.
• You are precise, rigorous, and meticulous.

Ihre Verantwortlichkeiten :

• Mitwirkung an der Verbesserung, Inbetriebnahme und Wartung unserer Produktionsanlagen und Maschinen
• Durchführung von Störungsbehebungen an Maschinen und Anlagen im Werk
• Durchführung von technischen Wartungs-, Montage- und Qualitätskontrollarbeiten an den Anlagen und Ausrüstungen der internen Abteilungen
• Fertigung von mechanischen und geschweißten Bauteilen
• Probleme erkennen und Lösungen vorschlagen, sowohl eigenständig als auch im Team
• Die Dokumentation der Wartungsarbeiten sicherstellen
• Im 4-Schicht-Wechsel arbeiten

Wie Sie uns überzeugen :

• Sie verfügen über Erfahrung in der industriellen Instandhaltung und/oder in einer ähnlichen Branche.
• Sie besitzen ein CFC als Polymechaniker/in oder als Konstrukteur/in von Industrieanlagen und verfügen über gute mechanische Fähigkeiten.
• Sie verfügen über gute SAP-Kenntnisse.
• Sie zeichnen sich durch ausgeprägten Teamgeist aus, arbeiten selbstständig und sind lösungsorientiert.
• Sie beherrschen Französisch, eine weitere Sprache ist von Vorteil.
• Sie fühlen sich in einem komplexen Umfeld wohl und können sich an Veränderungen anpassen.
• Sie arbeiten präzise, gewissenhaft und sorgfältig.

Location Profile ##

Novelis- Sierre is located in the Valais Switzerland employing around 550 people. It mainly focuses on production of aluminium sheet for the automotive market covering the entire process from casting to finishing. The plant also hosts a world-leading Research & Innovation Center specialized in the development of new automotive sheet alloys surface treatment and joining technologies. In Feburary 2022 together with research institutions and a local energy provider Novelis founded the Net Zero Lab Valais to develop carbon-neutral solutions for aluminium manufacturing. The lab focuses on identifying and implementing innovative solutions to neutralize the carbon footprint of Novelis- manufacturing operations and neighboring communities starting in Sierre.

The Sierre plant supports its community through direct sponsorship of many annual events promoting education sports and culture.
