Your field of activity ##

• You assume the strategic direction and development of the Supply Chain Management department with 17 employees and apprentices
• You are responsible for the overall management of the supply chain - from needs planning and purchasing to availability and logistics, up to the provision of materials, their return and their disposal.
• You develop and assume the implementation of purchasing and supplier strategies for the BVZ/MGB group and pilot the supply chain according to relevant key indicators of costs, stocks, availability, quality and performance
• You optimize material flows from the supplier to the customer and ensure high availability of materials with optimal stocks and costs
• You work actively in the management team of the Rolling Stock & Traction sector as well as in working groups and specialized committees within the railway sector

Your profile ##

• You have several years of management experience in supply chain management functions as well as experience in supplier management and contract law
• A higher education in economics or technology is ideally supplemented by continuing education in purchasing (e.g., purchasing manager), supply chain management or logistics
• You have a deep understanding of material, goods and information flows as well as a strong affinity for digitalization, automation and data-based solutions
• You are a charismatic person and demonstrate a lot of initiative, ability to implement, connected and entrepreneurial thinking
• You think ahead, challenge the status quo and implement changes
