Software Engineer - Industrial Computing / CNC Machines (M/F)

For one of our clients, a Swiss technology company specializing in the development of high-precision autonomous machining machines in Yverdon-les-Bains, we are looking for a:

Software Engineer - Industrial Computing / CNC Machines (M/F)

You will participate in the software development at the heart of innovative industrial machines combining machining, automation, sensors, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize machine control software
• Participate in the development of features related to CNC machines and machining processes
• Program and optimize machining cycles and strategies
• Integrate the different components and systems of the machine: sensors, actuators, and control systems
• Develop test, diagnostic, and calibration tools
• Participate in the testing and validation phases on the machines
• Analyze software malfunctions and provide the necessary corrections
• Collaborate with mechanical, mechatronic, and R&D teams
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the performance, precision, and reliability of the equipment
• Write and maintain technical documentation

Profile

• Higher education in industrial computing, software, automation, mechatronics, or an equivalent field
• Experience in software development applied to an industrial environment
• Very good understanding of how a machine and its environment function
• Knowledge of CNC programming and/or machine control is highly appreciated
• Mastery of one or more programming languages such as C++, Python, or equivalent
• Strong interest in automation, precision mechanics, and new technologies
• Ability to work both on software development and directly on the equipment
• Analytical mind, autonomy, and strong problem-solving skills
