Who you are
As an IKEA Food collaborator, you will strive to make people smile while offering them irresistible food offers, in a welcoming atmosphere that gives our customers a good reason to return.

• You have experience in a high-volume environment and in direct contact with customers, ideally in service or sales.
• You are approachable, you like working directly with customers and you always strive to provide them with excellent service.
• You are physically resilient and capable of standing for a prolonged period, even when customer frequency is lower.
• You have a strong team spirit, but you also like to take responsibility in your own work.
• You thrive in a very dynamic and stimulating environment and you work well under pressure.
• You are proficient in IT, particularly MS Office.
• You are flexible and understand that your working hours depend greatly on the store's opening hours.
• You speak French fluently and have a good level of English. Knowledge of any other national language is an advantage.

What you'll be doing day to day

• Serve and meet customers with an empathetic and caring attitude based on IKEA values.
• Ensure that the food, drinks, and products in your area of responsibility are of the highest quality and freshness and are presented in the most attractive way possible.
• Ensure that your area of responsibility is always clean, organized, and attractive.
• Accept payments and process cash transactions at the checkout.
• See the food sector through the eyes of our customers in order to constantly improve our products and meet their needs.
• Find more efficient working methods to reduce costs and be more cost-conscious, notably by controlling waste, correcting portion sizes, checking production levels, and updating cooking methods.
• Respect and follow internal rules, policies, and daily operational routines regarding quality, food safety, and stock figures.
