ETH Engineer Project Manager or ETH Engineer Project Manager in civil engineering and hydraulics (80% to 100%)

Through innovative technologies, the Service de l'eau has the mission to supply Lausanne and 20 communes of the Lausanne region with drinking water, as well as to ensure the evacuation of water from the city of Lausanne and the treatment of wastewater from its agglomeration. The service relies on the transversality of the know-how and skills of its 200 employees to guarantee an excellent water quality.

The Études & Constructions division, composed of about ten engineers and technicians, is in charge of the maintenance and construction projects of the Service's facilities, such as plants, reservoirs and pumping stations for drinking water and wastewater, as well as renaturation projects for Lausanne watercourses.

Main mission(s)

Ensure the role of project manager in civil engineering and hydraulics within the Section Génie civil et Cours d'eau for the construction or renovation of the Service's facilities (reservoirs, drinking water treatment stations, hydraulic structures, supply galleries and vaulting)

Diagnose and analyze the renovation and construction needs of facilities in collaboration with the other divisions

Ensure the role of General Project Management and General Works Management and manage contractors and companies

Ensure the role of design engineer in structure and in hydraulics for the various projects of the Service, from preliminary studies to implementation

Ensure compliance with legal obligations and integrate environmental concerns, food safety concepts and occupational safety

Profile

ETH engineering degree in civil engineering or training deemed equivalent

Post-graduate certifying training or proven experience in the field of hydraulics

Post-graduate certifying training or proven experience in project management

10 years of practice in monitoring important construction sites in the field of construction

5 years of experience in managing large construction projects, contractor management and interdisciplinary and spatial coordination

5 years of experience in civil engineering structure calculations as well as in the field of hydraulic structures

Mastery of structural and hydraulic calculation software as well as engineering work software (Revit, Autocad, MSProject, Messerli)

Special conditions

Driver's license (cat. B)

Clean criminal record

Ability to work outdoors, on construction sites, as well as in confined and specific environments (sanitation network)
