The total budget of the Université de Genève is 870 million francs, of which 615 million come from the Canton de Genève, other cantons and the Confederation. It is distributed over 600 financial centers and 4'800 institutional funds, each of which is subject to budgeting, financial reporting to the donor or particular reporting. The main missions of the accounting and financial management division are financial management, the University's accounting according to IPSAS standards, the preparation of consolidated financial statements and budgets, budgetary control, the publication (distribution) and promotion of financial management rules as well as the related internal control. As head of the department, you will have a strategic and operational role in the proper management of the University's finances and you will assist the financial management. Your responsibilities include in particular: * Prepare the individual and consolidated financial statements of the Université de Genève, according to the standards of the Etat de Genève * Ensure the maintenance, control and reliability of general and analytical accounting (projects), in compliance with current laws and standards * Ensure the management of the University's financial assets, as well as investment properties * Implement, monitor and improve the internal control system guaranteeing the control and reliability of accounting processes (SCI) * Advise and assist the financial management * Supervise teams attached to the division, notably recruitment, training and support of employees ### We offer: * A stimulating working environment within an academically renowned international institution * A high-responsibility function with direct impact on the financial strategy of the University * An environment valuing innovation, diversity and professional development Required title and skills ----------------------------- * University education at Master's level in finance or federal diploma in accounting * Proven experience in financial management and accounting, notably in a complex public or institutional environment * Knowledge of the laws and regulations of the canton de Genève in the financial field (LGAF, LSFAG, LIAF, REEF) and federal (LEHE).
