Context
--------

The Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and is among the best hospital establishments in the world according to the Newsweek 2025 ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculté de biologie et de médecine of the Université de Lausanne and the EPFL, it plays a leading role in the fields of care, research, and training.

The Direction des systèmes d’information (DSI) manages a fleet of more than 12’000 workstations and nearly 200 business applications critical for patient care. Its teams ensure the availability, security, and performance of the hospital's information system.

As an apprentice IT operator, you will participate in this essential mission by discovering the different technical professions of the DSI through several internal internships (support, fleet management, infrastructure, networks, etc.)

Mission
-------

• You install and connect IT devices (computers, printers, tablets, smartphones) to the network
• You configure operating systems, integrate simple programs and applications according to the standards of the institution
• You ensure the maintenance of hardware, systems, and software, ensuring their proper functioning
• You test, update, and document your interventions, in order to guarantee the reliability of the IT fleet
• You collaborate on IT projects carried out in a team (deployments, migrations, renewals)
• You ensure security, data confidentiality, and compliance with internal procedures.

Profile
------

• You have completed your compulsory schooling (good VG1 level or VP level desired)
• You are autonomous, methodical, and rigorous in your way of working
• You demonstrate logic and analysis, and you adapt easily to technical evolutions
• You like solving problems, learning new technologies, and understanding how systems work
• You have a good sense of service and like to collaborate in a team with users and technicians.
