Qualified Educator - 70% / Maison Yamba

• Provide daily educational support to babies and children aged 0 to 5 years living in a residential setting, within a multidisciplinary team
• Meet the physiological, psychological, and emotional needs of the children, and guarantee them a secure living environment
• Offer parenting support (observation of interactions and reinforcement of parental skills)
• Evaluate the needs of the child and the parent in order to contribute to the construction of the follow-up project
• Organize and lead playful and educational activities, adapted to the age and development of the children
• Collaborate closely with placement services and partners of the professional network
• Actively participate in team meetings: colloquiums, supervisions, and reflection days.

Particularity of the position

• Irregular working hours (including nights and weekends)

This position requires a significant capacity for adaptation and great flexibility, with a work organization combining scheduled hours and replacements in equal parts.

Activity rate: 70 %

Class: 13 or 15 according to the salary scale of the Etat de Genève

• Bachelor in social work (HETS) or

Diploma in social education (ES) or

University Bachelor (neighboring field of social work) with one year of full-time professional practice in a residential setting or in IGE

• Foreign diplomas: requirement of official recognition by the SEFRI (or by a recognized equivalent body)
• CAS as a training practitioner, an asset
• Significant previous experience in the field of early childhood
• Great flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to various audiences
• Autonomy, team spirit, and sense of initiative
• Good knowledge of the Geneva social network
• Good writing skills in French.
• Must hold a driver's license, category B
• Must be of Swiss nationality or hold a valid work permit.
