Infrastructure and Network Engineer (f/m/d)

On behalf of our client based in French-speaking Switzerland, we are looking for an Infrastructure & Network Engineer (f/m/d) responsible for ensuring the operation, support, and evolution of an international IT environment, with a strong infrastructure focus complemented by network responsibilities.

Your mission

• Maintenance of hardware infrastructures (HPE servers, NetApp storage, etc.) and software (VMware vSphere, Veeam, Windows Server, Linux Ubuntu), including configuration changes.
• Maintenance of network infrastructures (Cisco wired & wireless, Aruba ClearPass, Fortinet/FortiGate, SD-WAN), participation in the evolution of the infrastructure and project management (e.g., replacement of switches, access points, renewal of storage arrays, etc.).
• Level 2 and 3 technical support on Cisco, VMware vSphere, Veeam, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
• Creation and updating of technical documentation intended for IT teams and end users.
• Active participation in professional events in Switzerland and internationally (2 to 3 major events per year), which may require travel of 2 to 3 weeks.

Your profile

• At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with excellent mastery of Microsoft environments, virtualization, servers, and backup solutions, as well as a good understanding of storage technologies.
• Possessing solid network skills, particularly on Cisco, LAN/WLAN, VPN, NAC, and SD-WAN, as well as experience with Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls or equivalent; a CCNA/CCNP certification or comparable experience is an advantage.
• Having practical knowledge of Azure and/or AWS Cloud environments, being comfortable with macOS and iOS user environments administered via Jamf, as well as Microsoft 365 and monitoring solutions such as Zabbix or Grafana.
• Demonstrating autonomy, curiosity, and an excellent analytical mind, with the ability to take charge of various technical topics, communicate effectively, and quickly learn new technologies in a demanding and multicultural environment.
• Fluency in French and possessing an excellent level of English, both spoken and written; business travel in Switzerland and abroad is to be expected.
