Resulting from several municipal mergers and currently counting more than 10'000 inhabitants as well as approximately 200 employees, it operates in a dynamic environment marked by numerous development and land-use projects. As part of the reinforcement of its Water and Public Domain Service --- composed of nearly 45 employees distributed across six specialized sectors --- our client has mandated us to recruit its future ### Head of Municipal Road Infrastructure In this key function, you will ensure the maintenance and development of an important municipal road network comprising nearly 230 km of roads as well as approximately 97 km of land improvement paths. You will also lead various strategic projects related to the evolution of the municipality, notably in a context of strong urban development, redevelopment of public spaces and coordination with cantonal authorities, mandatories and developers. Main responsibilities: * Ensure the global management and steering of the road infrastructure sector. * Plan the maintenance of the municipal road network, ensure the monitoring of defects and degradation, define priorities and organize necessary interventions. * Collaborate closely with the various municipal services and sectors as well as with the mandated specialized companies. * Participate in the definition, prioritization and development of municipal road projects. * Supervise the study and implementation of road projects of different scales, both internally and with engineering offices and external mandatories. * Lead specific projects related to the environment and the territory, notably in connection with cliff stabilization, road developments and mobility. * Actively participate in reflections related to the strong urban development of the municipality and future infrastructure projects. * Ensure the creation, management and monitoring of calls for tender as well as procedures related to public procurement. * Intervene occasionally in projects with a BAMO dimension and ensure coordination between the various stakeholders. * Ensure the administrative and financial monitoring of projects as well as the elaboration and control of the sector's budgets. * Supervise the management and updating of databases related to roads and networks on the municipal territorial information system. * Supervise, organize and support a team composed of technicians and draftsmen, while participating in their professional development. Your profile: * You hold a degree as a Technicien(ne) ES or Engineer(e) HES in civil engineering, or have a career path deemed equivalent. * You benefit from experience in the field of road infrastructure, networks and public works in Switzerland. * You have already led technical projects including coordination, work monitoring and budgetary management. * Experience in a municipal, parapublic environment or in connection with cantonal authorities allows you to understand the administrative issues and decision-making processes specific to public authorities. * You appreciate both technical reflection and field presence and concrete monitoring of achievements. * Public procurement, road authorization procedures as well as coordination with mandatories and companies are familiar to you. * You master the usual IT tools as well as the main technical software related to civil engineering and project management. * Organized, autonomous and solution-oriented, you know how to manage priorities while maintaining good communication quality with various interlocutors. * Your sense of contact, your team spirit and your ability to unite allow you to evolve effectively in a transversal and collaborative environment. * Flexible and pragmatic, you appreciate versatile functions combining technical, coordination and human management. * You hold a driver's license.
