Building Services Designer – Heating

Your mission
Our client is a recognized Swiss company, active in the field of building services and specializing notably in heating installations and energy solutions.

As part of the reinforcement of its technical office, it is looking for a Building Services Designer – Heating to take charge of the study, design, and monitoring of thermal installation projects.

Working directly with the technical management, you are responsible for the design, dimensioning, and costing of heating installations.

You accompany clients from the initial analysis of their needs through to the realization and closing of the project. You develop technical solutions, prepare offers, create the necessary plans and diagrams, and ensure the follow-up of the various administrative procedures related to the projects.

Your function thus combines technical expertise, project management, site monitoring, and customer relations, with the objective of proposing high-performance, sustainable installations that comply with current standards.

Your main responsibilities
Studies and design
Analyze the technical needs of clients and project owners.
Ensure initial contact with clients to precisely define their needs.
Study and design heating installations adapted to different projects.
Perform the dimensioning of thermal installations.
Carry out the necessary technical calculations, particularly regarding calorimetry and pressure drops.
Define the technical solutions most adapted to the building constraints and the client's needs.
Integrate requirements related to energy performance and sustainable solutions into the projects.
Prepare and present the proposed technical solutions to clients.
Costing and preparation of offers
Establish estimates and commercial offers related to the projects.
Determine the needs for material, equipment, and services.
Participate in the costing of the different technical variants.
Prepare and present offers to project owners.
Ensure the administrative and technical follow-up of offers until their validation.
Plans and technical documentation
Create the technical plans and diagrams necessary for the execution of the installations.
Prepare technical documents intended for the installation teams.
Update plans according to the evolution of the projects.
Ensure consistency between the plans, technical choices, and the constraints encountered on the ground.
Compile and maintain up-to-date technical project files.
Authorizations and subsidies
Prepare the building permit applications necessary for the projects.
Establish and follow up on subsidy applications related to energy installations.
Prepare the technical documents necessary for the various administrative procedures.
Ensure the follow-up of files with the relevant organizations and authorities.
Ensure compliance with the cantonal legislations and regulations applicable in the field of energy.
Project and site monitoring
Ensure the follow-up of projects from the initial client request to the closing of the file.
Coordinate the different stages of realization.
Ensure the technical monitoring of sites.
Collaborate with the teams in charge of the installation.
Provide the information and documents necessary for the proper execution of the work.
Participate in the supervision and coordination of installation teams when necessary.
Perform necessary surveys and measurements.
Anticipate technical difficulties and propose adapted solutions.
Control the proper realization of installations compared to the planned solutions.
Participate in the follow-up of orders and needs related to the projects.
Ensure follow-up until the handover of the installation to the client.
Customer relations
Be the technical interlocutor for the client throughout the entire project.
Advise project owners in the choice of technical solutions.
Present the different possibilities and variants when necessary.
Regularly inform clients of the progress of their projects.
Ensure the follow-up of the file from the request for offer until its closing.
Maintain professional, clear, and solution-oriented communication.
Ensure client satisfaction throughout the project.
Coordination with partners
Collaborate with suppliers and technical partners.
Be in contact with project owners, architects, and works management.
Coordinate the technical information necessary for the proper realization of the projects.
Ensure good circulation of information between the technical office, field teams, and various stakeholders.
Participate in technical exchanges and meetings related to projects when necessary.
Administrative management of projects
Follow the technical and administrative files of the projects.
Perform the necessary measurement surveys.
Participate in the follow-up of orders.
Prepare the elements necessary for billing.
Ensure the administrative closing of the files.
Ensure the proper maintenance and traceability of information relating to the various projects.
Technical support
Provide technical support to internal teams.
Participate in the analysis of problems encountered on heating installations.
Provide technical support in the context of troubleshooting when necessary.
Research and propose technical solutions adapted to the situations encountered.
Your profile
Ideally, you have training as a building services designer, heating orientation, or an equivalent technical training.
You possess good knowledge of heating installations and building thermal techniques.
You master the dimensioning of installations and the main technical calculations related to heating.
You have knowledge of
