Techfirm Engineering is looking for an Electrical Engineer – Low Voltage (m/f/d) to join our Industrial Services team in Switzerland.

As an Electrical Engineer – Low Voltage, you will support the design, development, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems within highly automated industrial and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. You will ensure that electrical infrastructures are safe, reliable, energy-efficient, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations.

What You Will Do:

-Design, specify, and implement Low Voltage electrical systems for industrial and manufacturing environments.

-Lead and support projects related to drive technologies, variable frequency drives VFDs), frequency converters, switchgear, UPS systems, electrical heating, and electrical heat tracing.

-Develop engineering concepts, technical specifications, electrical diagrams, and design documentation for new installations and facility modernization projects.

-Provide technical expertise throughout the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility studies through commissioning and handover to Operations.

-Contribute to technical decisions related to electrical infrastructure, modernization, and asset lifecycle management.

-Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards, including NIN, ATEX, VKF, and electrical safety requirements.

-Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities to maximize plant reliability, operational efficiency, and system performance.

-Identify and implement energy optimization measures to improve sustainability and reduce operating costs.

-Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Automation, and Project Engineering teams to deliver safe, efficient, and fit-for-purpose engineering solutions.

What We Are Looking For:

Education:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

-Electrical Engineering

-Electrical Engineering Technology

-Automation / Industrial Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.

Experience:
3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within an industrial, pharmaceutical, biotech, or highly automated manufacturing environment.

Proven experience in:

-Low Voltage electrical systems

-Industrial electrical engineering

-Electrical design and engineering documentation

-Equipment modernization and/or installation projects

-Commissioning and troubleshooting

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of Low Voltage electrical systems and industrial power distribution.

Experience with:

-Variable Frequency Drives / VFDs

-Frequency converters

-Switchgear

-UPS systems

-Electrical heating

-Electrical heat tracing

-Good understanding of applicable Swiss and international standards, particularly NIN, ATEX, and VKF.

-Experience with electrical schematics, technical specifications, engineering documentation, and design concepts.

-Knowledge of commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

-Experience working in highly automated industrial environments is a strong advantage.
