La Fédération des Hôpitaux Vaudois informatique (FHVi) is the preferred IT partner for more than 12 hospitals and regional health establishments in the canton of Vaud. FHVi accompanies them in the many challenges of the digital transformation of the healthcare sector and its main missions are to plan, design, implement, and operate the IS of its members. Senior Clinical Applications Manager – Technico-functional Expertise

As part of the reinforcement of our team in charge of clinical information systems, we are looking for a Senior Applications Manager, possessing solid technico-functional expertise, a strong capacity for analysis, and real autonomy in resolving complex application issues.

This position is aimed at an experienced professional who likes to understand how applications work in their entirety, investigate malfunctions, identify their root causes, and propose concrete, reliable solutions adapted to business needs.

Your mission:

As a Senior Applications Manager, you ensure the technical and functional responsibility for a portfolio of critical applications within the clinical information system, guaranteeing their availability, performance, security, and evolution.

A true technico-functional referent, you intervene both in the resolution of complex incidents and in the analysis of business needs, application evolutions, and feasibility studies.

You are capable of moving from a functional issue to an in-depth technical investigation, and then to the definition and implementation of an adapted solution.

You work in close collaboration with users in hospital establishments, internal IT teams, and solution providers.

Your role is based on a balance between operational expertise, business understanding, technical autonomy, and the ability to take a step back from the proposed solutions.

Your main activities and responsibilities:

Application management and resolution of complex incidents

• Ensure the maintenance of operational conditions of the applications within your scope and guarantee their availability, performance, and reliability.
• Take charge of complex application incidents requiring an in-depth analysis of functional and technical dimensions.
• Investigate malfunctions autonomously, identify their root causes, and implement sustainable corrective solutions.
• Analyze interactions and dependencies between applications, databases, servers, interfaces, and technical components.
• Utilize databases, notably through advanced SQL queries, to analyze anomalies and identify corrective actions.
• Carry out the first technical investigations and request specialized expertise when the situation requires it.
• Anticipate risks related to technological evolutions, incompatibilities, and the obsolescence of application components.

Technical expertise and systems integration

• Understand application architectures and integration mechanisms between heterogeneous systems.
• Analyze data exchanges, interfaces, and web services in order to identify and resolve interoperability problems.
• Read, understand, and analyze existing code, notably in C#/.NET environments, to facilitate investigations and application evolutions.
• Use and adapt scripts, notably PowerShell, to automate certain operations or contribute to problem resolution.
• Intervene on issues related to Windows application environments, databases, and technical dependencies.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and interoperability teams to ensure the consistency and maintainability of solutions.
