It produces statistical information, works for harmonized data through national data management, and further develops data-driven knowledge generation using data science methods. In doing so, the BFS contributes to the formation of public opinion and makes an important contribution to modern democratic governance. Additional information The Federal Statistical Office actively shapes national and international data and statistics policy and represents the interests of Switzerland in central national and international bodies. As Head of Section International and National Affairs, you will lead a versatile organizational unit and, together with the Foreign Relations and Communication (AK) department management, shape the positioning of the BFS towards authorities, international organizations, partner institutions, and other stakeholders. You thereby make a direct contribution to the further development of Switzerland's public data and statistics system, to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and to the establishment of the new Foreign Relations and Communication (AK) department, with the focus of the function being on the national coordination and networking of the BFS.
