In order to strengthen the team of the histology laboratory of our Institute of Pathology, we are looking for the following two profiles immediately or by agreement:

1. Biomedical analysis technician head in histology (80-100%)

Your missions:

• Ensure the management and smooth running of the histology laboratory, including immunohistochemistry and molecular biology as well as team management
• Manage a team of about ten collaborators
• Actively participate in technical tasks: embedding, sectioning and staining
• Contribute to the development and innovation of the histology laboratory
• Collaborate in maintaining the quality assurance system and participate in quality controls
• Participate in the validation of analytical methods
• Share knowledge by training collaborators and interns and providing internal training
• Work in close collaboration with the department management

Required skills:

• Swiss ES diploma as a biomedical analysis technician or a title deemed equivalent recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
• Matrix leadership
• Required experience of several years in the field of histology
• Analytical and synthesis skills, accuracy, decision-making spirit
• Organization, rigor, priority management
• Sense of ethical responsibility
• Excellent mastery of written and spoken French with writing ease
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and KaliLab is a plus

1. Biomedical analysis technician in histology (80-100%)

Your missions:

• Participation in performing embedding, macroscopy, sectioning and staining, as well as histochemistry, immunohistochemistry and molecular biology
• Participation in the development of the histology laboratory
• Teamwork
• Implementation of protocols
• Execution of internal and external quality controls

Required skills:

• Swiss ES diploma as a biomedical analysis technician or a title deemed equivalent recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
• Required experience in histology
• Good work organization skills and good priority management
• Rigor, precision and versatility
• Ease of adaptation and integration as well as a good team spirit
• Good knowledge of usual IT tools
