The position is attached to the Diagnostic Department. This department, composed of nine medical services, has the mission of providing diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic acts, and specialized clinical consultations, of high medical quality, in the shortest possible time and at an acceptable cost, to guide the care of female and male patients and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.

The primary mission of the hematology-oncology cell therapy laboratory (LTCHO), located at the Plateforme des laboratoires de thérapie cellulaire clinique (LTCC), is to prepare hematopoietic stem cells for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplants. The LTCHO also prepares cells for the foeto-placental blood bank.

Job Description ##

Under the supervision of the medical and technical managers of the LTCHO, the tasks and responsibilities of the technician are to take charge of the entire process of preparing human tissues for their distribution for transplantation purposes, i.e., you receive the cells collected from the donor coming from Switzerland or elsewhere. You prepare, analyze, and preserve these cells in a controlled environment (cleanroom, GMP). You prepare samples for analysis by flow cytometry. You complete the production files before their transmission to the quality control manager. You prepare and freeze foeto-placental blood for the bank. You complete the foeto-placental blood files for the bank before their transmission to the quality control manager and sending to the SBSC.

You collaborate in the proper functioning of the laboratory and its quality by ensuring the maintenance work of the material and equipment used, including technical and biological validations, in collaboration with the LTCHO laboratory personnel and that of the LTCC platform.

You participate in the administrative management of the laboratory.

This enumeration of tasks is not exhaustive. Missions may vary according to the specific needs of the laboratory.

Qualifications ##

You hold a diploma as a technician in biomedical analysis (TAB) or a title deemed equivalent.

You have experience in the manipulation and knowledge of human cells, notably blood cells, experience in freezing living cells, good knowledge of the Inlog IT system, as well as general knowledge of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HLA system, donor recruitment process and link with recipient, biobanking process for the foeto-placental blood bank) are considered advantages.

You have good knowledge of French and English, administrative and IT skills.

Possessing a sense of organization, you demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, rigor in work management, manual dexterity, discretion, an open mind and team spirit, as well as flexibility regarding schedules.

Schedules (8h00 - 17h00) may be irregular, with interventions on weekends and public holidays.
