3D Model Designer

Job description:

We are looking for an experienced 3D Industrial Piping Designer to participate in industrial engineering projects in Monthey, Switzerland. The position mainly consists of creating and maintaining 3D models of industrial installations using AVEVA E3D software, while ensuring their compliance with technical specifications, piping standards, and project requirements.

• Activity rate: 100 %, 42 hours per week
• Language: Fluent French mastery mandatory

Requirements:

• Create 3D models of industrial installations using AVEVA E3D, including piping networks, equipment, accessories, components, and supports.
• Design and integrate piping and equipment supports, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, piping classes, and industrial design standards.
• Verify the consistency of 3D models against technical data and project constraints, identifying and resolving design conflicts and interferences.
• Produce piping isometric drawings and technical drawings necessary for project execution.
• Update 3D models based on project modifications and feedback from engineering teams.
• Control the quality, accuracy, and compliance of 3D models as well as the generated deliverables.
• Participate in 3D model reviews and technical coordination meetings, applying established modeling methods and standards.

Competences:

• Minimum 2 years of practical experience with AVEVA E3D Design software, ideally 5 years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Proven experience in 3D modeling of industrial installations, specifically piping systems, equipment, and supports.
• Solid knowledge of industrial piping standards, piping classes, mechanical components, and technical specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), specifically piping networks, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Experience in generating and verifying piping isometric drawings and installation drawings using AVEVA E3D.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve design conflicts and interferences in 3D models.
• CFC in industrial draftsman-constructor, piping designer, or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent mastery of French, both spoken and written, mandatory.
• Autonomy, rigor, and attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet project deadlines.
