Academic HES Assistant in Energy and Environmental Techniques

MAIN MISSIONS ###

• Participate in teaching tasks of the department: assistance in course preparation, supervision and preparation of practical work
• Participate in the realization of applied research and development (R&D) work of the Institute of Energies, particularly in the field of energy recovery from dry and wet biomass
• Participate in the management and maintenance of the infrastructure of the research entity, particularly the bioenergy laboratory
• Participate in the administrative management and any other activity necessary for the proper functioning of the department and the research entity

DESIRED PROFILE ###

• Degree from a higher education institution or a degree deemed equivalent
• Interest in the field of energy recovery from biomass via thermo-, physico- and biochemical routes
• Good knowledge of combustion, gasification, pyrolysis, anaerobic digestion and composting processes
• Ability to characterize biomass from a physico-chemical point of view
• Good communication skills and sense of organization
• Autonomy, structured work and good analytical skills
• Good knowledge of English, in addition to French. German is an asset

Activity rate: 100%

Start date: 1 January 2027 or to be agreed

Duration of engagement: 1 year, renewable, maximum 5 years
