Context
--------

The Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and is among the best hospital establishments in the world according to the Newsweek 2026 ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculté de biologie et de médecine of the Université de Lausanne and the EPFL, it plays a leading role in the fields of care, research, and training.

Woman-mother-child Department (6 places)

This Department follows women throughout their lives in gynecological and obstetrical aspects and takes care of children from birth to adolescence. Its services: outpatient and inpatient are dedicated to gynecology, obstetrics, fertility medicine, neonatology, pediatrics, and pediatric surgery.

Psychiatry Department (2 places)

It takes care of people of all ages suffering from mental disorders. The care provided by all our teams is personalized and based on solid interprofessional collaboration. This care can be provided in various contexts through specialized programs.

Locomotor system Department (2 places)

It includes, among others, the Services of rheumatology, orthopedics and traumatology, plastic and hand surgery, and the Centre de médecine du sport. It takes care of pathologies related to the skeleton, tendons, and joints.

Clinical neurosciences Department (1 place)

It brings together the Services of neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychology, and neurorehabilitation. It offers integrated and personalized care to patients suffering from diseases of the central and peripheral nervous systems, from brain to muscle.

Medicine Department (7 places)

It brings together the competencies of 13 medical specialties. It is endowed with solid expertise in the care of patients suffering from multiple and complex conditions.

Surgery Departments (5 places)

It brings together eight surgical specialties, notably thoracic, visceral, maxillofacial surgery, urology, ENT, dentistry, and organ transplantation. It ensures care adapted to patients requiring surgical intervention, promoting early recovery and a quick return to daily life.

Mission
-------

• You collaborate closely with the nursing team to ensure quality care for patients
• You accompany patients professionally in daily life activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being (help with washing, dressing, eating, etc.)
• You perform administrative and logistical tasks, such as updating patient files
• You contribute to maintaining hygiene and the organization of care areas, ensuring a clean and secure environment for patients
• You participate in prevention and health promotion activities with patients.

Profile
------

• You have obtained the compulsory schooling completion certificate
• You have reached the legal age of 18 (possibility to start from 16, with prior internships in care)
• You have mastered the basics in mathematics (general track level 2) and in French (level B2) and are ready to take a test if necessary to verify your skills
• You have a marked interest in the field of health and the well-being of people
• You are comfortable in human contact and know how to show empathy and active listening
• You have a proven aptitude for teamwork and demonstrate collaboration, while being able to work autonomously
• You are organized, rigorous, and capable of managing several tasks at once, even in stressful environments.
