Hardware Production & Prototyping Manager (Hardware Production & Operations Manager)

MycoSense is a growing Swiss technology startup revolutionizing the agricultural industry through advanced computer vision, artificial intelligence, and connected infrastructures. Our flagship products (such as the Spotlight and VisionBox) are cutting-edge industrial systems deployed internationally. To support our growth, we are looking for a key person to take over and lead our hardware production operations as: Hardware Production & Prototyping Manager (Hardware Production & Operations Manager) at 100% - CDI.

Your Role:
As Production Manager, you will be the conductor of our equipment manufacturing. You will ensure the smooth transition between design and final product delivery. You will manage the entire production cycle, from component procurement to shipping to our customers, while supervising our assembly team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Production Management: Plan, supervise, and optimize the production and assembly cycles of our industrial systems (Spotlights, VisionBoxes, accessories), ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality standards.
• Team Management: Supervise and support our assembly and quality assurance (QA) technician, ensuring a balanced workload and smooth processes.
• Supply Chain & Inventory: Manage inventory via our ERP (InvenTree), anticipate hardware needs, place orders, and maintain excellent relationships with our international supplier network (metal parts, 3D printing, electronics/PCBA).
• Quality Control & Logistics: Supervise functional testing and QA procedures. Ensure rigorous product preparation, packaging, and shipping logistics to our customers around the world.
• Prototyping & R&D (Cross-functional Collaboration): Work in close collaboration with our engineering team (software, computer vision, embedded systems) to assist in the design, assembly, and rapid iteration of new mechanical and electronic prototypes.

Required Profile:

• Required Experience: Proven experience in production management, assembly, and supply chain of machines or industrial equipment integrating advanced electronics.
• Languages: Excellent command of English (reading, writing, speaking) is imperative. Our team is international and a large part of our documentation and communications with suppliers is done in English. A good command of French is necessary for local operations.
• Organization & Rigor: Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities, to structure processes (use of ERP), and to maintain perfect traceability.
• "Startup" Spirit: You are pragmatic, autonomous, capable of taking initiative, and are not afraid to "get your hands dirty" on the workbench when necessary.

The "Pluses" that will make a difference:

• Practical technical skills to actively participate in prototyping (knowledge of mechanical CAD, reading electronic diagrams, 3D printing, tooling).
• Previous experience with customs procedures and international shipping of electronic hardware.
