On behalf of the State of Valais, we are looking for a

Senior Technical Collaborator Fr/Ger 80-100% Fixed-term contract (M/F/D)

Responsibilities

• Independently process complex building permit files, from their initial analysis to the preparation of decisions
• Ensure the follow-up of administrative procedures and ensure the compliance of projects with the legal and regulatory provisions in force
• Analyze oppositions, non-compliances and particular situations requiring in-depth technical expertise.
• Perform site inspections, establish technical findings and propose appropriate measures.
• Evaluate the compliance of completed works and ensure the processing of files related to the commissioning or completion of works.
• Advise and support municipalities, agents and institutional partners on technical and regulatory aspects related to construction.
• Participate in technical meetings, present files and contribute to the preparation of decisions by the competent authorities.
• Ensure a reference role in the follow-up of complex files and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal practices and processes.

Profile

• Holder of a degree in Architect EPF/HES, a Federal Diploma of Works Director (building) or a CFC in architectural drafting
• Proven experience of at least :
• 2 years of experience within a Swiss public administration
• 3 years of experience in architecture, works management or construction site supervision
• 2 years of experience in processing building permit files
• Possess solid expertise in legislation regarding construction outside building zones and associated procedures
• Be recognized for your ability to analyze, interpret and control construction plans with precision and discernment
• Perfectly master French (C2 level) and possess good knowledge of German (minimum B1)
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and maintain quality relationships with the various project partners
• Master usual IT tools, notably Microsoft 365; knowledge of SAP is an asset
• Demonstrate autonomy, rigor and a strong sense of responsibility, while adopting a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach
