HYDRO Exploitation SA is an important service provider, particularly active in the field of operation and maintenance of energy generation plants. We combine all the necessary competencies under one roof, from maintenance personnel to engineering.

We operate and maintain a plant fleet with more than 40 hydropower plants. Their installed capacity corresponds to approximately 22% of the capacity available from hydropower in Switzerland (25% including the pumping stations). Together, the plants operated by us generate about 16% of the electricity from hydropower in Switzerland.

Thanks to our unique expertise, we propose services with high added value to our customers, which satisfy their diverse needs as well as their high quality requirements. Our range of services is aimed at electricity companies, public institutions, transport companies, as well as industry. We are mainly active in Switzerland, but occasionally also carry out assignments abroad.

Mechanic, Maintenance Specialist

Work location: Zermatt

Your mission:

For several hydropower plants, you will independently carry out maintenance work on mechanical devices as a specialist in a multidisciplinary team.

Your tasks:

Execution of maintenance work as well as ongoing maintenance work at several hydropower plants
Participation in the maintenance and renewal of machines and mechanical systems
Assembly and disassembly of hydro-electric groups for annual maintenance or for machine renewals, primarily for the mechanical, but also for the electrical part
Ensuring on-call duty

Your competencies:

EFZ as a polymechanic, mechanic, locksmith or equivalent training
Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial machine systems (hydropower area is an advantage)
Experience in welding with certification for unalloyed and stainless steels would be an advantage
Sense of responsibility
Willingness for teamwork and mobility
Ability to deal with fluctuations in workload
