Health and Safety Officer

La Fondation de Verdeil is a private institution of public utility, recognized by the Direction Générale de l'Enseignement Obligatoire du Canton de Vaud (DGEO).

It offers adapted learning situations for children and adolescents with special needs. With more than 500 employees, it includes six schools, five TEM (school-to-job transition) training centers, a mobile educational service, and a UAT (temporary reception unit).

Your mission

Within our multi-site institution, you encourage a culture of prevention and safety with the objective of guaranteeing a safe environment for all users of our sites.

In close collaboration with the heads of structures and internal services, you coordinate health and safety actions, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and support the implementation of measures in the field. To successfully carry out your missions and deploy your activity, you rely on the support of internal and external providers.

Your main responsibilities

You coordinate the global Health, Safety and Fire Prevention approach and participate in the deployment of our MSST policy.

Through your presence in the field, you ensure the identification of hazards, the assessment of risks, as well as the definition, coordination, and monitoring of necessary prevention measures.

You actively contribute to establishing a demanding and collaborative safety culture among all stakeholders by organizing evacuation exercises and developing awareness and training actions.

As the guarantor of the framework and continuous improvement, you ensure the rigorous monitoring of prevention plans, procedures, documentation, and indicators.

Finally, you maintain lasting relationships of trust with all our external partners.

Your profile

• CFC in a technical building field, supplemented by recognized training in health and safety (CFST, MSST, safety officer).
• you have solid experience in a coordination and safety function, and are recognized for your organizational ease and possess excellent skills in the administrative management of files.
• you demonstrate autonomy and have very good writing skills and master standard IT tools.
• you demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a natural communicative ease to unite teams, create partnerships, and collaborate with multiple interlocutors.
• Driving license indispensable
