Waste Management Manager
In order to strengthen our technical service, we are looking for a waste management manager. You will ensure the operational, administrative, and technical management of the waste disposal sites in Courtepin and Villarepos. You will ensure the proper functioning of the facilities, compliance with legal and environmental regulations, the quality of service offered to the population, as well as the supervision of the personnel assigned to the two sites.
Your main missions
Guarantee the smooth daily functioning of the sites in Courtepin and Villarepos, ensure their surveillance during opening hours and maintain the facilities in good condition.
Ensure a professional, courteous, and efficient welcome, inform users and advise them on sorting, disposal procedures, and the appropriate channels.
Enforce municipal regulations and legal requirements, monitor deposits and refuse non-compliant, prohibited, or waste deposited by unauthorized persons.
Monitor the filling of skips and containers, organize removals and rotations, and guarantee the availability of the different collection channels.
Ensure the cleanliness, order, and safety of the sites, perform or coordinate routine maintenance and quickly report any breakdown, degradation, or risky situation.
Administrative and financial follow-up (follow-up of invoices, statistics, tonnages, reports and indicators, etc...), contribute to the preparation of the budget and ensure cost control.
Organization and planning of personnel, setting of schedules and attendance, organizing replacements, distributing tasks and guaranteeing adequate coverage of the two waste disposal sites.
Integrate, train, and support employees, develop their versatility, promote a constructive working climate and manage potential conflicts.
Be the guarantor of safety rules, the protection of people and the environment, propose improvements aimed at optimizing the quality of sorting and services.
Collaborate with municipal services, participate in projects related to waste, the environment, and infrastructure, support certain events and represent the Municipality to partners and suppliers.
Collaborate with the road maintenance service for all tasks related to municipal heritage and infrastructure.
Your profile
Technical, environmental training or experience deemed equivalent
Experience in team management and in the operation of technical facilities or public services
Flexibility in schedules (including evenings and Saturdays, and depending on seasonal tasks)
Knowledge of legal regulations and requirements regarding waste management, safety, and environmental protection
Ability to carry out simple maintenance work on the facilities.
Proficiency in standard IT tools
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and good physical condition
Mandatory wearing of personal protective equipment in accordance with current regulations.
French or German native speaker with good knowledge of the other language
Team spirit and initiative, dynamic, sense of organization and priorities, versatile
