Cloud Engineer

Die Fernfachhochschule Schweiz (FFHS) offers part-time Bachelor, Master, and continuing education degree programs using the blended learning method. For our current approximately 3100 students, we employ 180 employees as well as over 550 (part-time) lecturers. To strengthen our IT services, we are looking for a

Cloud Engineer

at our location in Brig, starting immediately or by arrangement.

This is what your tasks are

• Construction of highly available services
• Development of guidelines for the introduction of cloud services. Docker and Kubernetes
• Conception and further development of the cloud architecture as well as cloud governance
• Support of the IT services in the implementation of CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery)
• Development of concepts for the transformation of on-premise services to cloud services
• Integration of cloud services into the IT infrastructure of the FFHS
• Collaboration in cloud, automation, and infrastructure projects

This is what you bring with you

• Communicative, proactive, and winning personality with a good portion of composure and humor
• Successfully completed university degree (BSc) in the field of computer science or business informatics
• Experience in the field of cloud engineering or willingness to further educate yourself in this field
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Linux systems, network technologies as well as basic concepts of virtualization, containers, and hybrid IT infrastructures.
• Willingness to collaborate in support and assist lecturers
• Very good German skills
