The Ville de Sion is recruiting for a position of swimming pool lifeguard M/F (indoor and outdoor pools) activity rate 80-100% within the service of Sports, Youth and Leisure. Main missions * ensure surveillance of the basins, the safety of female and male swimmers as well as rescue interventions, in accordance with the directives and protocols in force; * ensure compliance with the swimming pool regulations and contribute to guaranteeing a safe and welcoming environment for the public; * ensure the routine maintenance of the facilities, including rooms, basins, decks, access paths and outdoor spaces. Conditions of engagement * hold a CFC in a technical field or justify equivalent deemed experience; * hold the Pro Pool lifesaving certificate (at minimum the Plus Pool lifesaving certificate and commit to following the training for the Pro Pool certificate) and the BLS-AED certificate; * enjoy good physical condition and have the required swimming level for the function; * hold a driver's license for motor vehicles; * accept to submit to irregular schedules, notably in the evening and on weekends; * demonstrate a sense of responsibility and public service, initiative and availability; * appreciate contact with the public and know how to demonstrate calmness and firmness when the situation requires it; * be comfortable both in teamwork and independently.
