Located in the Vevey region, between city and countryside, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with disabilities due to intellectual impairment. A multidisciplinary and multi-site structure, it offers the people welcomed a particularly harmonious living and working environment as well as a set of skills adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual. Integrated into the Fondation Eben-Hézer, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. In this capacity, it considers the happiness of the people welcomed as the ultimate goal of its action. ### Mission The << Le Lilas >> Group is a living space welcoming 4 adults presenting autism spectrum disorders associated with moderate to severe intellectual impairment. The group offers individualized and evolving support based on the resident's needs. On a daily basis, the educator focuses on predictability work allowing for the development and maintenance of skills through the structuring and adaptation of the environment. Support is developed through proximity work rhythmic in individual and collective time. The team's wish is that each resident can be fully integrated into the heart of their life project. In daily life, particular attention is developed in order to nourish the physical, psychic, cultural, social, and gustatory well-being of the people welcomed. The educator at Le Lilas: * Accompanies the person in their daily life in an individualized manner * Has the capacity to produce professional writings, transmit and report on their work * Encourages autonomy, the notion of choice, and self-determination * Provides support for receptive and expressive communication * Relies on practices such as the ABA method, the TEACCH approach, PECS * Is involved in group activities: gym, cooking workshop, plant room, creative and artistic room, outdoor outings Being an educator at Le Lilas means: * Keeping an open mind to what might seem closed to us * Understanding even without words * Being a source of proposals * Knowing how to manage the unpredictable by being creative and curious * Creating balance between structure and mobility, predictability and change * Creating opportunities allowing the welcomed person to develop their resources in order to better grasp stressful situations * Reinventing oneself and trying again * Being patient ### Desired profile * To benefit from an ES or HES educator diploma * To have experience in the field of intellectual impairment and/or ASD * To be comfortable working and communicating in a team * To possess experience in implementing life projects and adapted protocols * To be dynamic, proactive, and motivated * To know how to listen, but also know how to position oneself * To question one's own practice with an evolutionary aim You master standard IT tools, possess a driver's license, and are willing to work irregular hours including weekends. ### Working environment We offer you the opportunity to take part in an innovative project and to evolve in a working environment conducive to the achievement of the mission and your professional fulfillment.
