Head of Early Childhood and Family Unit

A promoter of success conditions at the local level and close to the population, the Service du Développement des Pratiques Professionnelles (SDPP) of AVASAD responds to challenges of quality, professional support, capacity development, and innovation in the field of home care, particularly regarding prevention and health promotion. This team of 30 employees is the guarantor of an evolving and equitable offering for the entire population of Vaud. To complete the team, we are looking for a:

Head of Early Childhood and Family Unit (80%)

Missions and responsibilities:

• Manage the unit and coordinate the activity of the employees
• Develop and promote early childhood and family activities in connection with the strategic axes and objectives of AVASAD
• Guarantee the equity and quality of early childhood and family services throughout the canton
• Position the unit as a center of competence and professional reference for the 'Developing research in social sciences and health sciences' mechanism
• Develop synergies with the other units/poles of the SDPP, with transverse services, with employees from A/F and CMS
• Develop strong partnerships with other health and social institutions in the Canton, Universities of Applied Sciences, the university, etc..

Your skills and experience:

We are looking for a female or male employee who ideally has confirmed experience in the field of "early childhood" such as pediatrics or neonatology as well as team management. The ideal candidate has experience in project management and possesses knowledge of the medico-social environment.

The function requires:

• A HES nursing degree or equivalent as well as a postgraduate degree in the field of health and early childhood
• A strong interest in teamwork
• Knowledge in public health, health promotion and prevention, in research and publication
• An eye for detail with analytical capacity, while being solution, client, and results-oriented
• A sense of leadership and a capacity to innovate
• An open, communicative, collaborative personality with ease in internal and external contacts.
