Our client based in Genève is an independent gemmology laboratory that combines cutting-edge technologies and expertise at the service of the gem market and scientific research. In order to integrate its team, we are looking for a Gemmologist @ 100%, able to start soon on a CDI.

Are you passionate about gemmology, its technique and the use of advanced analysis instruments (UV-Vis-NIR, FTIR, EDXRF, LIBS, Raman spectroscopies)? Your main missions

Full time for production, your main mission will be the analysis of calibrated colored gems intended for the haute horlogerie market as well as center gems.

Your responsibilities

• Guarantee compliant production in terms of quality and quantity in the analysis of gems for our clientele.
• Contribute to the evolution of analytical protocols and respect them.

Your profile

• FGA or GG gemmology diploma (DUG is a plus).
• 5 years of experience in gemmology minimum required, perfect mastery of microscopic analyses.
• Mastery of crystalline material spectrometry would be a plus (UV-Vis-NIR, EDXRF, FTIR, LIBS, Micro-Raman).
• Good management of variable production flows, you remain even-tempered during periods of high yield (stress management).
• You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, you distinguish yourself by your availability and your team spirit.
• Autonomous, you know how to successfully carry out the projects entrusted to you in all circumstances.
• Excellent IT knowledge (MS Office and scientific software).
• Mastery of French, good writing skills, excellent spelling.
