Job Description

Job Objective

As an AIP Production Chemist, you are responsible for the production processes of your sector and their documentation. You guarantee the safety, quality, and performance of operations, while contributing to the continuous improvement of the supply chain. In close collaboration with the Asset Technique team, you resolve process problems and ensure the availability of resources as well as the reliability of equipment.

Responsibilities

HSEQ, quality and compliance:

• Guarantee HSEQ compliance in your area of responsibility, in compliance with defined standards, and manage risks appropriately.
• Act as the HSEQ referent for the sector, particularly for risk assessment and change management.
• Ensure technical, organizational, and financial responsibility for one or more products regarding quality, yield, respect for the production program, and cost efficiency (QOTIFQA).

Production, reliability and performance:

• Ensure responsibility for the production processes of your sector and maintain complete and reliable process documentation.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPI), analyze deviations, and report results appropriately.
• Organize and support production activities to achieve quality, volume, yield, deadline, and cost objectives.
• Work with the Asset Technique team to resolve problems, ensure resource availability, and improve equipment reliability.

Continuous improvement, projects and representation:

• Support or lead operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represent AI Production within project teams and collaborate effectively with multifunctional teams.
• Replace the Production Manager in order to represent the sector when necessary.

Qualifications

Required

Education & knowledge:

• Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent training.
• Good knowledge of risk assessment and applicable health, safety, and environment standards.
• Good understanding of chemical production processes as well as the financial stakes of chemical operations.

Experience:

• Experience in a technical field, ideally more than two years, or production experience in the chemical industry.
• Demonstrated experience, or recognized potential, in leadership and operational management.
• Experience working in project teams and the ability to contribute to the management of interdisciplinary projects.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including in complex situations.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and advance sustainable solutions.
• Very good team spirit, clear communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of demand and contribute to a high-performing work environment.
• Ease in managing change and ability to unite people around common values and objectives.
• Knowledge of automation, process control systems and/or electrical systems: an asset.
• Fluency in French and good knowledge of English.
