Your mission

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software for ETEL's high-performance motion controllers and precision positioning systems
• Develop advanced motion control algorithms, including servo control, trajectory generation and system optimization
• Implement reliable real-time software on SoC and DSP in bare-metal and RTOS environments
• Model, simulate and validate control strategies with MATLAB/Simulink and deploy them on embedded targets
• Optimize system performance, stability and robustness in demanding precision motion applications
• Contribute to software architecture with an emphasis on scalability, modularity and maintainability
• Drive product development from concept and prototyping to validation, production and long-term support
• Define test strategies, perform qualification activities and ensure compliance with applicable standards
• Clearly document technical work and actively participate in design and code reviews

Your profile

• Master or PhD in control engineering, mechatronics, electronics or a related field
• More than 3 years of experience in software, algorithm or control system development for mechatronic applications
• Solid training in motion control, control theory and mechatronic systems; knowledge of metrology and optics is an asset
• Proven expertise in C/C++ development on SoC and DSP, including for real-time applications (bare-metal and RTOS)
• Experience in modeling, simulation and model-based design with MATLAB/Simulink
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development practices
• Experience with Agile methodologies and associated tools (e.g., Atlassian suite) is an advantage
• FPGA development (VHDL) is a plus
• Proficiency in English; French is an asset
