Junior Legal Counsel 70%-80%

9 month fixed-term contract

Job description
--------------------

• Process incoming mail on a daily basis
• Acknowledge receipt of oppositions and analyze their admissibility
• Investigate files with employers and insured persons
• Draft decisions on opposition in compliance with the legal framework and current procedures
• Prepare schedules intended for judicial authorities, notably the Social Insurance Court
• Provide telephone support and provide information to insured persons
• Provide support to colleagues in the investigation of files and the drafting of decisions (reminders, requests for position, drafting of facts)

Profile sought
-----------------

• Holder of a legal education or training recognized as equivalent
• Proven experience in managing legal files
• Experience in the field of social insurance, loss-of-earnings insurance, unemployment insurance, AI, LAA, or a compensation fund constitutes a major asset
• Very good writing skills (decision letters, legal documents)
• Available quickly for a start in October
