Head of DH Production Plant Operations Unit (100%)

Your field of activity

Within our Thermal Networks Department, you will hold a key position in the operation of our heat production installations with the unique opportunity to participate in the Viteos energy transition.

Your function requires managing a team of 6 employees and coordinating all maintenance and operation activities of our various district heating (DH) production plants. The fleet of heat producers includes wood boilers, fossil fuel boilers (gas and/or fuel oil), industrial heat pumps and heat recovery installations. You will also contribute to the evolution of our installations in order to improve their availability, their energy efficiency and their ease of operation

Your mission if you accept it:

• Supervise, support and develop a team of 6 employees
• Plan team activities, define priorities and ensure the monitoring of works
• Participate in the on-call service, at a rate of approximately one week every 6 to 8 weeks
• Guarantee the availability, reliability and safety of the production plants
• Define, plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance operations (CMMS)
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality and regulatory requirements
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation (schematic diagrams, list of installed equipment, -)
• Assert the experience of the operations unit in projects led by the technical office

Prerequisites, you must:

• Hold a technician's diploma or a CFC accompanied by a federal certificate or training deemed equivalent or higher, in a technical field
• Demonstrate 5 years or more of experience in the field of thermal energy and management
• Possess very good knowledge of thermal energy production and distribution systems. Knowledge of the global functioning of a DH network is an advantage
• Possess very good knowledge in the field of mechanics, hydraulics and MCR
• Appreciate field work, team management and collaboration with different professions
• Have a good analytical spirit to manage priorities and make the right decisions
• Master standard IT tools (MS Office, Outlook, etc.)
• Possess a category B driving license
