Institution de Lavigny

Deployed across several sites, the Institution de Lavigny consists of a neurological hospital with outpatient consultations on two sites, a residential department for adults with disabilities, including intellectual impairment or physical issues, a specialized school, and a workshops and vocational training sector.

The specialized school department "La Passerelle" welcomes children aged 6 to 18 with learning and developmental difficulties. It ensures global support for the child including school training, therapeutic interventions and follow-ups, and educational follow-up, with the possibility of weekly residential stays and extracurricular reception times. For our weekly residential care which welcomes 14 youths of school age, and our extracurricular sector, we are looking for:

A qualified educator between 70%-80%, fixed-term contract from October 2026 to July 2027, potentially extendable

Whose main mission will consist of proposing educational support to children/adolescents, promoting the link between school life, leisure time, and family life. The activity is divided between support in weekly residential care and the animation of extracurricular activities (sports, homework, cultural activities, etc.).

In close collaboration with families and the professional network, you will contribute to the development and implementation of an individualized project adapted to each young person, within the framework of an intervention aimed at learning autonomy and self-determination, and which relies on the resources and skills of the young people and their families.

As an experienced person, capable of managing projects, you will know how to propose playful and fulfilling activities, whether group or individual. You will know how to put into perspective and reflection a systemic and multidisciplinary approach based on respect for the responsibility, autonomy, and vulnerability of each person. Dynamic, a communicator, you possess a marked interest in working in an interdisciplinary team.

Working hours are annualized and distributed from 7 am to 10 pm, from Monday noon to Friday noon. Services are closed during the Vaud school holidays.

We require:

• A recognized ES or HES social educator diploma,
• A valid driver's license,
• A pronounced interest in the field of special pedagogy and learning disabilities,
