You will progressively take over activities currently carried out by another entity. Your arrival will also allow for supporting two employees mobilized on Cloud environments, whose availability for database administration is reducing. The position involves a strong operational dimension in the first instance, with the possibility of subsequently taking part in projects. Your missions ------------ * Ensure the administration and maintenance in operational conditions of Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases. * Guarantee their availability, reliability, and performance. * Perform supervision, maintenance operations, backups, and restorations. * Diagnose and resolve incidents, in collaboration with technical teams. * Take over existing activities and ensure the transfer of knowledge with colleagues from Luxembourg. * Document procedures and contribute to the improvement of exploitation practices. * Participate in the support and on-call system. * Progressively contribute to projects for the evolution of database environments. Profile sought ----------------- * Approximately 7 years of experience in database administration, with solid practice of production environments. * Operational experience on Oracle (knowledge of SQL Server and PostgreSQL are assets), with autonomy adapted to taking charge of current activities and incidents. * Mastery of availability, performance, backup, and restoration issues. * Rigor, sense of priorities, and ability to intervene methodically during incidents. * Team spirit and ability to take over an existing scope in collaboration with several interlocutors. * Knowledge of AWS constitutes an asset. Residence in Switzerland is mandatory for this role Organization and perspectives ---------------------------- You will join a team of 7 people and participate in an on-call rotation. On-call duties are infrequent, but can require significant mobilization when an incident occurs. The priority will be to strengthen the operational capacity of the team and to stabilize the workload. Ultimately, the position may evolve towards more project activities, with a perspective of moving to a CDI.
