Do you want to learn a practical profession where printed materials that will be seen by patients, caregivers, and all the teams at the CHUV are prepared, printed, and finalized? Join the Centrale d’impression et de reprographie (CIR) of the DSI on August 16, 2027!

Context
--------

The Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and is among the best hospital establishments in the world according to the 2025 Newsweek ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculté de biologie et de médecine of the Université de Lausanne and the EPFL, it plays a leading role in the fields of care, research, and training.

Within the Direction des systèmes d’information (DSI), the Centrale d’impression et de reprographie (CIR) handles all the institution's printing services: layout, file processing, laser and inkjet printing (including large format and vinyl), printing on objects, direct mail, folding, finishing (cutting, creasing, perforation, binding, stapling, gluing), laser engraving, and textile transfer. You will work on modern and high-performance machines, in direct contact with various internal clients.

Mission
-------

• You welcome and advise internal clients: type of paper, formats, finishing, deadlines; you prepare quotes
• You prepare data (texts, images), check files and ensure compliance with standards
• You prepare production: RIP configuration, color and printing profile management, proofing for control
• You print (color / black-and-white), monitor the print run and perform finishing (cutting, creasing, perforation, binding, stapling, gluing, etc.)
• You document your settings, plan the steps and ensure the traceability of batches.
• You maintain the production equipment, detect common breakdowns and apply safety rules
• You manage the specific disposal of waste (sorting, recycling) in a quality/environment approach.

Profile
------

• You have completed your compulsory schooling
• You have correct color perception, rigor, and precision
• You like teamwork and have an interest in graphic arts and technology
• You are organized, methodical and comfortable with digital tools (PDF workflows, RIP, etc.)
• Assets: good command of French, curiosity about printing processes and finishing.
