PPNV Construction Site Coordinator

Job Description ##

The penitentiary service of the canton of Vaud has a project to construct new establishments on the site of the Pôle Pénitentiaire du Nord Vaudois (PPNV). Within the framework of these constructions and to guarantee the smooth running of our future construction sites, we are looking for a construction site coordinator.

In this position, you are in direct contact with project managers and various stakeholders. You organize the daily monitoring of activities and plan interventions taking into account synchronization, priorities and unforeseen events. You also participate in the supervision of the construction site guards. Finally, you are the security respondent to companies and stakeholders.

Responsibilities ##

• Ensure the operational supervision of the PPNV construction site guards;
• Coordinate construction sites on the site: planning, synchronization and control of interventions;
• Guarantee compliance with security, safety rules and general concepts on the construction sites;
• Guarantee the flow of information between all actors (site meetings, reports);
• Ensure the coherence of works to minimize the impact on the operation of the site, the users and sensitive activities;
• Manage operational projects in connection with the development of the site.

Qualifications ##

• You hold a diploma as a construction management technician.
• You hold a training as a security officer.
• You have 10 years of professional experience in the field of construction.
• You have 5 years of experience in construction management.
• Knowledge of complex projects in operation (airport, hospital, CFF, prison environment, etc.)
• Sense of responsibility and priorities.
• Ability to manage stress and sense of observation, analysis and synthesis.
• Good command of French and common IT tools.

Our employment conditions require that you are Swiss or a holder of a permit C, free of any debt enforcement proceedings (an extract from the Office des poursuites must be presented during the process), and your criminal record must be clean. There is a right to consult the criminal record in application of the Federal Act on Criminal Records by the hiring authority for this function.
