With more than 700 employees, including approximately 450 people in reintegration, PRO is a preferred partner of local and regional companies. As a training company, PRO also welcomes about sixty apprentices (Fpra INSOS, AFP and CFC) with specific needs in about fifteen different trades.

Your role and responsibilities

As Chief Accountant, you are the guarantor of the quality, reliability, and timely respect of PRO's accounting.

You supervise all accounting activities, monthly and annual closings, as well as the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Swiss GAAP RPC, with particular mastery of RPC 21;

You also ensure compliance with VAT obligations and the application of adapted internal controls;

You manage an accounting team of 6 to 8 people, by organizing and distributing activities, setting priorities, and ensuring the monitoring of deadlines. You accompany your employees in their development, while guaranteeing the quality of the work performed and the efficiency of the processes;

You also manage the preparation and conduct of the external audit and are the main interlocutor for the auditors;

In a dynamic of continuous improvement, you actively contribute to ERP evolution projects as well as to transformation initiatives of the finance function, notably in the areas of digitalization, automation, and process simplification;

You collaborate closely with the different finance functions, notably controlling, in order to analyze the financial results of the various activities and to provide your expertise on the accounting and financial issues of all PRO services.

Profile sought

• Higher education in finance, accounting, or equivalent field, ideally completed by higher professional training in accounting, finance, or fiduciary;
• Proven experience in a role as accounting manager or chief accountant, with responsibility for closing and the preparation of annual accounts;
• Successful experience in managing an accounting team;
• Excellent mastery of Swiss GAAP RPC, in particular RPC 21;
• Good knowledge of Swiss VAT legislation and practice; Experience in the preparation and coordination of an external audit;
• Good mastery of ERP tools and a marked interest in the improvement of financial systems and processes;
• Experience in a non-profit, parapublic environment or presenting similar requirements in terms of financial reporting is an asset.
