Chauffeur Yard Logistics with Dispatching Duties / Transshipment and Rail - Shunting Specialist (m/f/d) Workplace: Brig VS

For our customer in Brig, we are looking for a reliable personality who combines operational yard logistics with coordination tasks and wants to develop further in the field of shunting services and rail.
TASKS

Technical leadership of the team and ensuring smooth daily operations

Coordination and control of shunting maneuvers, train dispatching, and technical train inspections

Contact person for the control center, transport dispatch, network management, and locomotive personnel

Monitoring of operational processes and equipment as well as rapid troubleshooting of malfunctions

Collaboration in the further development of hub and shunting concepts as well as process optimizations

Transshipment of swap bodies between trucks and railway wagons

Loading and unloading, providing, as well as mounting and dismounting swap bodies

Ensuring timely collections and deliveries

Active participation in general transshipment work on the premises

REQUIREMENTS

Driver's license Cat. C or C/E

Mandatory willingness for further training as a shunter A40 and wagon inspector

Very good German skills in speaking and writing

Willingness to work shifts from Monday to Saturday, including public holidays

Good physical condition and enjoyment of practical work

Pronounced organizational talent, networked thinking, and high reliability

Customer-oriented way of working and strong sense of responsibility

Confident handling of modern communication tools as well as openness to digital systems
