To support a major development project, we are looking for an Industrial Software Engineer -- HMI & Applications. Industrial Software Engineer -- HMI & Applications Your mission You will evolve within the design office in Bex, in a mechatronic project team, from feasibility to market launch. You will contribute to the development of new products by designing technical solutions with the help of our mechanical, electronic and software experts. You With higher education in computer science, industrial systems or a related field, you have proven experience in software development, ideally in an industrial, embedded or machine-related context. You master the design of robust and maintainable applications and are comfortable with client/server architectures, communication with industrial equipment and Linux and Windows environments. Rigorous regarding cybersecurity and software quality aspects, you like working on prototypes, exploring new technical approaches and contributing to innovative solutions within a multidisciplinary team. Experience in developing human-machine interfaces (HMI), supervision systems or control applications constitutes an advantage; knowledge of industrial automation, Beckhoff/TwinCAT automates or industrial protocols is an asset, but not necessarily indispensable. Your responsibilities * Participate in the development of a new product in close collaboration with the project team, from the prototype phase to the first industrializable version. * Design, develop and maintain reusable software components and libraries for HMI applications and various company products. * Develop modern human-machine interfaces allowing for the control, configuration and diagnosis of equipment. * Develop the application services necessary for communication between the HMI, automates, field equipment and external systems. * Participate in the definition of the overall software architecture of the machine, notably ensuring integration between the HMI, application services and the control system (TwinCAT 3, EtherCAT, IO-Link, etc.). * Collaborate with automation engineers for the integration of the HMI and software applications with Beckhoff/TwinCAT 3 automates. * Develop the backend components and services necessary for the collection, processing and exchange of machine data. * Participate in the definition of the ergonomics and architecture of HMI applications in collaboration with the project teams. * Main technologies: C#, .NET, Blazor, JavaScript/TypeScript, , Java, Linux, Git, CI/CD and industrial communication protocols. * Exchanges with industrial equipment may notably rely on ADS, OPC UA, MQTT, TCP/IP or internal protocols. * Participate in the definition of software specifications in connection with the R&D, mechanical and electronic teams. * Perform unit tests, system integration tests as well as functional validation of the prototype. * Document modules, architectures and technical decisions to ensure the sustainability of developed libraries. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, methods and development best practices (Git, CI/CD, test automation). Profile sought * Higher education in computer science, industrial systems, automation or an equivalent field (HES Bachelor or ES diploma strongly appreciated). * Very good mastery of at least one modern software development environment, ideally C#/.NET. Experience with Blazor, Java, or modern web technologies constitutes an advantage. * Experience in the development of user interfaces, desktop/web applications, HMI or supervision systems. * Good understanding of client/server architectures, REST APIs and communication mechanisms between applications and industrial equipment. * Knowledge of Beckhoff/TwinCAT 3, ADS, EtherCAT, IO-Link or industrial protocols constitutes an advantage. * Familiarity with modern software development practices: Git, branch workflows, CI/CD, automated tests, UML diagrams. * Technical curiosity, desire to learn and desire to work on modern technologies and products in the innovation phase. * Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team (software, mechanical, electronic). * Fluent French; operational technical English (min. B2).
