Eben-Hézer Lausanne has been welcoming and accompanying people with intellectual disabilities for more than 125 years. It promotes a positive view of people with disabilities and puts its skills at the service of their participation and inclusion in society. Eben-Hézer Lausanne is part of the Fondation Eben-Hézer, a private law, non-profit organization recognized as being in the public interest.

In order to complete the educational team of BAMBOU, a living space for 6 residents with disabilities and associated psychic disorders, we are looking for a Qualified Social Educator (M/F) at an activity rate of 80%-100%.

Mission ###

You contribute to the well-being of the residents, ensure them the greatest possible autonomy in their journey and a living environment that meets their needs and desires. You guarantee daily educational support. You aim for the increase, maintenance, or support in the loss of their skills depending on the situations. You support them in their social and institutional integration. This mission is carried out in a multidisciplinary team and in active collaboration with the social network.

Responsibilities ###

• Develop and implement educational strategies adapted to the needs of the residents
• Work in an interdisciplinary mode to respond to complex and heterogeneous issues
• Provide help to residents in basic care
• Perform delegated care and medico-technical acts in relation to your level of competence
• Participate in the choice, implementation, and animation of relaxation and leisure activities
• Promote the integration of the resident's relatives in the development and follow-up of their individual project. Collaborate actively with internal and external networks
• Ensure administrative tasks related to the team and the residents

Desired Profile ###

• Diploma in social education (HES, ES, Special Education), CFC as ASE or ASSC indispensable
• Experience in accompanying people presenting loss of autonomy and associated disorders
• Ease in teamwork and communication, organization of tasks; reliability
• Interest in the development of communication tools adapted to residents suffering from language disorders, for individualized support and regular coordination of collective activities
• Strong motivation for the development of new educational actions
• Good knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office programs
• Category B driver's license desired

Indefinite duration contract.

Irregular hours, weekend work according to rotation.
