Founded in Lausanne in 1843, the Fondation Asile des aveugles includes the Hôpital ophtalmique Jules-Gonin, university ophthalmology service, a research center, the Centre pédagogique pour élèves handicapés de la vue (CPHV), the social, rehabilitation and low vision service, and the médico-social establishment Clair-Soleil.
More than 650 collaborators mobilize every day in the service of visual health to offer diagnostic, treatment, and support services to people affected in their vision.
In order to complete our team, we are looking for a
Low vision occupational therapist specializing in orientation and mobility
Your mission
Prepare and carry out an assessment of locomotion needs
Formulate objectives and establish an intervention plan
Advise and support the beneficiary in learning compensation techniques and strategies in locomotion
Carry out a final assessment and a report at the end of care
Participate in the development of the service's activities and projects in accordance with the service objectives and the vision of the Foundation
Your assets
Bachelor in occupational therapy
Authorization to practice as an occupational therapist in the canton of Vaud mandatory, or process in progress
Diploma as an expert in rehabilitation of visually impaired and blind persons – Specialization orientation and mobility or title deemed equivalent
2 years of experience in the practice of occupational therapy
Team spirit and ability to work in an interdisciplinary network
Comfortable with IT tools
Creativity in the therapeutic approach
Relational skills, patience and interpersonal skills with the client
Driving license: frequent travel outside
