Wood Engineer / Ingénieure du bois

Do you want to design and monitor wood construction projects? This engineer function covers technical solutions, calculations, and supervision of implementation.

We are looking for a Wood Engineer / Ingénieure du bois for one of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop varied projects in wood construction (structure, building, mountain construction, historic monument,...) involvement in all phases of the projects
• Technical support for special and fire-resistant carpentry
• Collaborate with architects, clients, and internal teams to provide adapted technical solutions
• Perform static calculations, dimensioning, and engineering plans necessary for the realization of projects
• Supervise the implementation of projects by ensuring their compliance with quality norms and standards
• Participate in the continuous improvement of processes and company innovations

Your profile

• Degree in wood engineering or equivalent training
• Proven experience in the field of wood construction
• Mastery of design tools (Cadwork, AutoCAD, etc..) and 2D/3D structural calculation software (DLUBAL RFEM or equivalent)
• Knowledge of wood and wood/metal calculation rules (SIA260/261/263/265 or Eurocodes 0/1/3/5)
• Knowledge of Swiss standards in the field of fire protection is an asset
• Excellent communication skills
