What you can contribute

• Ensure the leadership, guidance, and development of employees, as well as their initial and continuous training
• Plan and coordinate the deployment of resources according to missions, priorities, and operational challenges
• Implement projects and tasks relevant to the sector, in consistency with the OFDF strategy
• Ensure collaboration with the General Management of Genève Aéroport as well as with the various organizations and partners present on the airport platform
• Guarantee the quality of services, risk management, and the internal control system
• Ensure the coordination and efficient use of the resources assigned to you
• Ensure clear and effective internal communication and adopt administrative measures relevant to your area of responsibility
• Coordinate operational deployments in consultation with the regional deployment manager
• Participate in regional meetings and contribute actively to the resulting decisions and projects

What makes you unique

• Holder of a university degree, Master's level, or training deemed equivalent
• Recognized training in leadership and management, ideally supplemented by specialized training in police leadership (CAS-CEP for example)
• Also demonstrate proven experience in a comparable hierarchical function
• Ability to exercise both strategic and operational leadership and possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate with ease and quickly establish relationships of trust, aptitude to manage situations requiring cooperation, diplomacy, and solution-seeking
• Possessing a strategic vision and a good understanding of the interactions between different areas, being able to grasp complex situations
• Strong analytical capacity as well as a real aptitude to accompany and lead change
• Demonstrate resilience, assertiveness, a sense of responsibility, and a strong orientation toward results
• Very good active knowledge of at least one official language, good knowledge of English (B2 level)

Security for the population, the economy, and the State

The Office fédéral de la douane et de la sécurité des frontières (OFDF) ensures global security at the border for the benefit of the population, the economy, and the State. It works closely with other national and international authorities. Among its main tasks are the adequate and rapid customs clearance of commercial goods, the fluid management of tourist traffic, as well as the areas of security police and migration. With the Poursuites pénales management area, it has its own investigative authority. The OFDF is in the midst of digital transformation. The DaziT program aims to simplify, optimize, and digitize all customs, fee collection, and control processes.
